Small-Scale Hay Making, by Oregon Bill

This is my easy experiment on small-time hay making. Little fields of yard can be important even if they aren’’ t worth the effort to bale and cut. We just have a couple of acres of pasture –– enough for a couple of sheep or goats year-round or for a 2-year-old guide for 3 months. With so little pasture, it doesn’’ t make good sense to purchase a big lawn mower or bailer, and we wished to see how practical it would be to and set up the hay by hand.
