Easy-to-Build Wood Rocket Stove DIY Projects

wood rocket stove

Here is an easy DIY project that you can  build with a small wood rocket stove using common materials. It does not need any heavy equipment to build it, and when completed, it is an efficient and long lasting stove heater that keeps burning for the whole night! The holes in the log will provide the air to flow underneath it, giving a good combustion, and allows the wood to burn hotter and better. There will be little smoke but mostly fire to heat up efficiently. It’ll be one of your superefficient woodstoves you ever built.

What’s good about this wood rocket stoves is that it’s simple and you can build many of them in one go, and be able to use them at a later time.

What you need is a some flammable wood of about 6″ in diameter and 14″ in length, and using an one inch spade bit , to drill a medium size hole at one end and in the middle of the log.spade bit

Unlike in other projects, a large drill bit size is may be used for drilling the holes into the wooden log. Not many of us has big drilling equipment , big clamps or big drill bits nor are we capable of handling such heavy drilling equipment. What’s cool about this project is that everything is in a smaller scale, and is simple and easy to handle.

So what you need to do, is to make some of them at one go, or many of them if you can. So you will have enough fuel to last you through the winter without using any gas or electricity. And if you need to boil a kettle at a same time, just put a couple of stones on top of the stove and lay your kettle on top of it, and you can boil some hot water or to cook as well.
