An Adorable Baby Flamingo Struggles To Stand On One Leg

The Sacramento Zoo recently announced the arrival of six (cute) American flamingo chicks, also known as Caribbean flamingos. The babies spanned between June 28 and July 30, yes it required two days, and they’re the first of these species to be born at the zoo since 1999. So ya, its sort of a huge deal right now.

Now these birds do not have crazy milestones like us humans. They do not have to  rolling over, crawling, walking, talking. It’s all too much. No, baby Flamingos have a bigger target… to stand on one leg.

The cute birds are very famous for their one-legged stance. So how are they able to do it? Well, with lots and a lot of practice they could be standing around on one leg like their own parents!

The cuties clinic every day and one little baby was even filmed trying out some yoga or some type of inspired poses.

The small chicks are now being cared for around-the-clock from the zoo staff. Only when they’re strong enough to live in their will they be introduced into the remainder of the flock.

We can’t wait to see these cute chicks all grown up and simply lounging around on a perfected one-legged stance.
