The MTV actress strolled up to the red carpet garmented in a dress thats nearly identical to one of JLos most memorablered carpet appears of all time: her 2000 Grammys look.
In case you didnt know, JLos red carpet dress at the 2000 Grammys is literally like, actually the reason Google Images exists.
Im not kidding. It even has its own Wikipedia page.
So many people wanted to see this dress, Google made a tool to allow people to do that. And now, here “were about”, at the MTV Movie& TV Awards seeing younger performers recreating the iconic look.
Most people on the internet consider Reed is just gesturing to JLo with her dress, but some consider the Versace dress to aim all Versace dresses shouldnt be messed with.
In my humble belief, I think its entirely fine that Jillian Rose Reed decided to imitate the dress. Honestly, yeah, it looks like Jennifer Lopezs dress, but its not an precise imitate. And mimicry is the most sincerest kind of flattery, am I right ????
And look, literally no one can knocking Jennifer Lopez off of this throne. JENNIFER LOPEZ IS THE SOLE REASON GOOGLE IMAGES EXISTS. Do you even KNOW what kind of money I would have and fucked up things I would do to have that degree of notoriety ?! A LOT OF MONEY AND A LOT OF THINGS.
Anyway , now that you know how fame-hungry I am, lets get back to the MTV Movie& TV Awards.
Earlier on the red carpet, Farrah Abraham transformed chiefs for her Bollywood-inspired attire. The internet is calling the Teen Mom star out for cultural appropriation, and thats fair, seeing as thats literally what she was doing.
Farrah doesnt even care, though. She told TooFab she doesnt care at all about the backlash. So, like, thats pretty shitty of her.
So lets not hate on Jillian Rose Reed for merely making a desiring nod to JLo and her iconic Versace dress. Things “ve already” worse tonight.
