Sharon Stone is selecting to forgive and forget!
On July 19, online auction site Gotta Have Rock and Roll is promoting a letter from the early ’90s where Madonna reportedly tells ex-boyfriend John Enos about her “bothersome” profession, and how her “first” and “unique” abilities are not being appreciated by the masses.
The notice was supplied by Darlene Lutz — “Madonna’s art adviser who was likewise a long-time private friend” — and appears to be written following the Substance Girl published her contentious 1992 Gender photo book and Erotica album.
In the practice of airing her grievances, the now-58-year-old SLAMS “horribly mediocre” Whitney Houston and Stone for achieving the success she desires.
” Now I’ve made so many people mad that I’m being penalized and basically made to be quiet and sit in a corner while other less interesting and exciting people are reaping the benefits of the roads I have paved. Maybe this is what black people felt like when Elvis Presley got huge. It is so unequivocally bothersome to read that Whitney Houston has the music profession I want I had and Sharon Stone has the movie career I’ll never have. Not because I want to be these girls because I’d rather perish but they are so horribly mediocre and they are always being held up as paragons of virtue and some type of measuring stick to humiliate me. Everything I do is so original and unique and that I put a lot of myself in it like my book and my record and it has only brought me heartache and pain and that I do not believe I could play the match to be taken.”
On Thursday, when the personal correspondence became public, the 59-year-old shade-recipient took to Facebook to respond… and she surprisingly has nice words for her “friend”!
In a twist of events, the Basic Instinct actress reveals she is actually envious of Madonna’s “rock star” profession, and she sometimes thinks of herself as “mediocre” too!
Kudos to Sharon for maintaining it classy!
