Google’s smart keyboard for iPhone, GBoard, only got some serious updates.
The keyboard app launched back in May with a lot of trendy features including GIF support, emoji, built in Google Search, and Glide Typing.
Now, Google is adding even more features to GBoard that whill enable you to send messages quicker without needing to leave the program.
The most recent GBoard upgrade provides Google Maps and YouTube hunting capabilities to the keyboard itself. Now when you press on the “G Button” situated in the left-hand corner of the keyboard, you’ll have the choice to get both Maps and YouTube. The characteristic makes it much easier to talk about a place or videos with individuals on your contacts list. In a nutshell, you won’t have to waste time jumping between programs to grab a connection anymore.
These two integrations add to the expanding list of tasks you can finish using GBoard. Some of the things you might do prior to the most recent upgrade include checking sports scores, hunting news content, and more.
And if all of this wasn’t spectacular enough, Google decided to go a step further, giving individuals the ability to draw within their text messages.
The new drawing attribute is known as “Ink” and allows you draw essentially whatever your soul desires, provided that it can be drawn in primary colours. To get the new attribute, click on the emoji button in the bottom left corner of your keyboard, then the pen icon. The feature works similarly to the drawing pad available in Apple iMessages.
GBoard can also be adding three new languages Hebrew, Arabic, and Farsi suggesting that the business is intent on supporting this program in diverse markets across the world.
So, if you find yourself getting tired of the standard iOS keyboard, maybe it’s time to try GBoard to get iOS. These new features are in fact pretty awesome and might actually save you some valuable time.
